"We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure."
Hebrews 6:19
Mission
The Pacific Star exists to show up when it matters most — in disaster zones, in underserved coastal communities, and in the formation of the people called to serve them.
Pillar 1
Because of her design, the Pacific Star can reach ports and islands that larger ships cannot. She can go where help is hardest to deliver and where hope is most needed.
After launch, the vessel will undergo sea trials along the East Coast before deploying south into regions where natural disasters recur each year and the communities caught in them wait for help that may never come.
Pillar 2
We believe we are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus in everyday life. Whether in a disaster zone or at home, we look for people in need and help them. This is how we show God's love.
This work has required perseverance, sacrifice, and deep trust beyond our own capacity. It has stretched us and reminded us that this mission was never meant to be carried alone.
"We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure."
Hebrews 6:19
Pillar 3
During the summer the Pacific Star is also a training platform. Medical providers and volunteers are prepared before mission trips. Youth and adults learn first aid and service skills. Young people learn to sail — and to lead.
Relief work is only sustainable if the people who carry it are formed well. The vessel's off-season serves that formation.
